East Hall boys top Banks County 4-1

Dane Allen and Patricio Cruz continued their undefeated seasons for the East Hall in a 4-1 win against Banks County on Tuesday afternoon in Homer. Allen recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win for the Vikings and Cruz lost his first set, but came back to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

No. 1 doubles duo Carlos De La Cruz and Isaac Salazar and No. 2 doubles players Milt Campbell and Jonathan Morales added wins for East Hall.

The Vikings host Riverside Military Academy on March 29.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 5, EAST HALL 0: Singles players Macy Milford, Lauren Carter and Kasey Wheeler each recorded wins for the Lady Leopards on Tuesday afternoon in Homer.

NORTH HALL BOYS 3, FRANKLIN COUNTY 2: Lucas Martin and Matt Booth recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles for the Trojans (3-8, 3-5 Region 8-AAA North) on Tuesday afternoon. Nathan Jones won 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 at No. 1 singles for North Hall.

The Trojans host Lanier Wednesday.

MADISON COUNTY BOYS 4, FLOWERY BRANCH 1: No. 3 singles player Beau Millwood led the Falcons (9-4, 4-2 Region 8-AAAA) with a 6-3, 6-4 win on Tuesday afternoon.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 5, MADISON COUNTY 0: Anna Kate Shaw led the Lady Falcons (12-1, 7-0 Region 8-AAAA) with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, and Durden Smith and Bekki Benton recorded a 6-0, 1-6, 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles on Tuesday afternoon.

CHESTATEE BOYS 3, WHITE COUNTY 2: After splitting the first two sets 6-3, 5-7, No. 1 doubles duo Blaine Brown and Reed Johnson won the third set 6-3 to grab the match for the War Eagles on Tuesday afternoon.

Chestatee visits Stephens County on Thursday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 4, WHITE COUNTY 1: Haley King and Carolina Gijon recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles for the Lady War Eagles on Tuesday afternoon in Gainesville.

The Lady Warriors avoided the sweep as Sarabeth Cummins won 7-6, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.

Chestatee visits Stephens County on Thursday.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 4, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 1 (MONDAY): Anna Gailey and Haley Hill recorded an 8-5 win at No. 1 singles for the Lady Leopards, and Leia Ryle and Taylor Mullins won 8-5 at No. 2 singles on Monday in Mount Airy.


ATHENS CHRISTIAN BOYS 180, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 184: John Jacobs shot a 41 and Chris Gay finished with a 41 for the Lions on Tuesday afternoon at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

Lakeview plays Lanier on March 28 at Chicopee Woods.

WEST HALL GIRLS 90, LUMPKIN COUNTY 105, JOHNSON 108: Malorie Smith and Olivia Davis each had a 45 for the Lady Spartans on Tuesday afternoon at Royal Lakes Country Club.

Morgan Wood led the Lady Indians with a 50, and Hannah Fowler finished with a 55.

Taylor Young recorded a 53 for the Lady Knights and Kristin Waters finished with a 55.

West Hall will play Dawson County today at Royal Lakes and Lumpkin County will play in the Georgia Peach tournament on Saturday at Hard Labor Creek Golf Course.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY ACADEMY 181, WEST HALL 194: Coleman Lowenthal led the Eagles with a 43 and Hunter Dutruch had a 44 on Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Justin Harkleroad had a 41 for the Spartans and Kip O’Kelley finished with a 46.

Riverside will compete in the Big Red Shootout on Monday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 101, CLARKE CENTRAL 108: Taylor Compton led the Lady Falcons with a 49 on Tuesday afternoon.

Flowery Branch will compete in the Spartan Challenge on Saturday.


FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 4, WINDER-BARROW 0: Cassidy Elrod led the Lady Falcons (12-0, 5-0 Region 8-AAAA) with three goals and one assist on Tuesday night in Winder. Julia Sienkiewicz also scored for Flowery Branch and Lauren Dunn recorded the shutout.

The Lady Falcons host Heritage at 6 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 8, WINDER-BARROW 1: Leo Manzo led the Falcons with three goals on Tuesday night in Winder. Adrian Lagranda finished with two goals for Flowery Branch, Will Filson, Simon Cobia, and Cris Araya each added one goal, and Thomas Davis recorded five assists.

Luis Teran recorded seven saves and Jonathan Beltran had three in the combined shutout for the Falcons.

Flowery Branch hosts Heritage High at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 2, LUMPKIN COUNTY 1: Hartley Carter and Catherine Chambers each scored for the Lady Red Elephants on Tuesday night. Mary-Catherine Dempsey and Liza Carpenter each had an assist for Gainesville.

Gainesville hosts Chestatee at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at City Park.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 9, TOWNS COUNTY 0: Ryan Marcano recorded his second hat trick of the season for the Eagles on Tuesday afternoon.

Ricardo Madero had two goals, and Sidy Ndiaye, Gabriel Rodriguez, Oliseabuka Madichie, and Sae Son each finished with one goal. Victor Salcido and David Clavijo combined for the Eagles’ fifth shutout of the season.

Riverside hosts Georgia Military Academy at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

EAST HALL GIRLS 10, HART COUNTY 0: Tatiana Castillo led the Lady Vikings (2-6, 1-1 Region 8-AA North) with five goals and one assist on Tuesday night in Gainesville. Bertha Rondan scored one goal and recorded five assists for East Hall, and Jazmin Rico recorded two goals.

The Lady Vikings visit Dawson County at 5 p.m. Friday.

EAST HALL BOYS 8, HART COUNTY 0: Saul Lopez led the Vikings (6-1-1, 2-0 Region 8-AA North) with three goals on Tuesday night in Gainesville. Julio Avilla added one goal and four assists for East Hall.

The Vikings visit Dawson County at 7 p.m. Friday.
