Deavers hits, pitches Lakeview in 6-5 win

Dallas Deavers earned the win for the Lakeview Academy (5-1) pitching six innings with 14 strikeouts, and hitting a grand slam in the second inning in a 6-5 win against Prince Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. Dakotah Chalmers earned the save for Lakeview, and Derek Fadool went 2 for 3 with two singles.

UNION COUNTY 8, DAWSON COUNTY 4: Daniel Coyne earned the win for the Panthers, (4-1, 1-0 Region 8-AA North) recording six strikeouts in three innings. Cooper Patton finished with a double and two RBIs for Union County and Wes Aulet went 2 for 3 with one RBI and one run scored.

The Panthers host Dawson County for a doubleheader at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Blairsville.

The Lions visit Towns County at 5:55 p.m. Thursday in Hiawassee.

BANKS COUNTY 10, EAST HALL 0 (MONDAY): Taylor Foster earned the shutout for the Leopards allowing only one hit in five innings with 13 strikeouts. Jacob Bullock got the save for Banks County, Tyler Hellmeister went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Brenton Ruark went 2 for 2 with two doubles and 4 RBIs.

CLARKE CENTRAL 7, RIVERSIDE MILITARY 0 (MONDAY): The Eagle were tied 0-0 until the fifth inning, when Clarke Central took the lead.

Riverside hosts Commerce on Thursday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 4 LANIER 2: Dillon Martin led the Trojans (4-1-1) with two goals and two assists on Tuesday night. Ramon Salamanca and Zach Tibbs each added one goal and one assist for North Hall.

The Trojans host Monroe Area at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 2, WEST HALL 1: Hartley Carter and Liza Carpenter each scored for the Lady Red Elephants (6-2, 4-0 Region 8-AAA South) on Tuesday night.

Gainesville hosts Franklin County at 5:30 p.m. Friday at City Park.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 10, MADISON COUNTY 0: Cassidy Elrod led the Lady Falcons (10-0, 3-0) with three goals and one assist Tuesday night in Flowery Branch. Hannah Kirk added two goals for the Lady Falcons, and Julia Sienkiewicz, Megan Kirk, Lauren Kirk, Morgan Glenn, and Corrie Thomas each scored.

Lauren Dunn and Elizabeth Bachmann combined for the shutout.

Flowery Branch visits Loganville at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 1, MADISON COUNTY 0: Leo Manzo scored for the Falcons off an assist from Adrian Lagranda on Tuesday night in Flowery Branch.

Luis Teran recorded four saves for the Falcons in the shutout.

Flowery Branch visits Loganville at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 3, LUMPKIN COUNTY 1: Alexis Rebollar scored two goals for the Lady War Eagles (3-5, 2-3 Region 8-AAA North) Tuesday night in Dahlonega. Madison Dunn added a goal for Chestatee and Misandy Chavez made 16 saves in goal.

The Lady Indians (2-5-0, 0-3-0) scored off a corner kick late in the game and Allie Mudhenk recorded 15 saves in goal.

The Lady War Eagles host Franklin (N.C.) on Friday.

BUFORD GIRLS 4, APALACHEE 1: Melissa Sullivan and Ceely Coker each scored two goals for the Lady Wolves (6-3) on Tuesday night in Buford.

The Lady Wolves host Maynard Jackson at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 5, APALACHEE 0: A.J. Morris, Cris Dilidili and Beau Millwood each added wins for the Falcons 7-2 (4-1 Region 8-AAAA) at singles on Tuesday afternoon in Winder.

OCONEE COUNTY GIRLS 4, JOHNSON 1: Harlee Robson won 6-4, 6-2 for the Lady Knights on Tuesday afternoon.

OCONEE COUNTY BOYS 5, JOHNSON 0: The Knights (2-10, 1-6 Region 8-AAA South) visit Walnut Grove on Thursday.

CHESTATEE BOYS 5, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: Singles players Jonathan Cook, Jeremiah Reed and Juan Carrion each recorded wins for the War Eagles on Tuesday afternoon in Franklin.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 4, STEPHENS COUNTY 1: No. 1 doubles team Kelsey McCray and Natalie Oxley, and No. 2 doubles team Hannah Gibson and Kaitlyn Smith recorded wins for the Lady Trojans (8-2, 7-0 Region 8-AAA North) on Tuesday afternoon.

North Hall visits White County on Thursday.
