Michael Gettys pitched six shutout innings with 12 strikeouts for Gainesville (7-0) in a 7-2 win against White County on Saturday in Cleveland.
Stephen Mason, Hunter Anglin and Luke Moore each had two hits for the second-ranked Red Elephants, which also took advantage of seven Warriors (5-1) errors in the field.
Brandon McConnell was the only player for White County with two hits.
Gainesville visits Walnut Grove at 5:55 p.m. Monday, while White County visits Franklin County at 5:55 on Monday.
JOHNSON 13, CHESTATEE 0: The Knights earned the win with a big eight-run fifth inning on Saturday in Gainesville.
Brandon Adams led the Knights with four hits and a pair of RBI singles.
Jackson Frazer and Adam White scored a pair of runs each for Johnson, while Trae Wilson and Corey Collins each batted in a pair of runs.
Chris White earned the shutout victory for Johnson with six scoreless innings and only allowed a pair of hits.

GAINESVILLE TAKES FOURTH AT APPLE MOUNTAIN: Lawson King (76), Parks Brown (77), Pep Brown (78) and Grant Lasseter (78) all fired under 80 for the Red Elephants in route to a fourth place finish out of 24 teams at the Apple Mountain Invitational on Saturday in Clarkesville.
Gainesville finished with a 309 as a team.
Habersham Central's Lee McCoy was low medallist with a two-under par, 70. Peachtree Ridge won the team title with a 298.
Gainesville returns to action in the Hall County championships at Royal Lakes Golf Course on Monday in Flowery Branch.
