The Lakeview Academy girls basketball team stayed undefeated in Region 8-A play with a 47-43 victory against Towns County on Friday in Gainesville.
Hanna Grogan led the Lady Lions with 17 points. Haley Cash finished with nine for Lakeview Academy (15-6, 11-0), which visits North Gwinnett today in Suwanee.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 71, TOWNS COUNTY 44: Tae Turner’s 24 points led the Lions on Friday in Gainesville.
Turner also grabbed eight rebounds for Lakeview Academy (15-8, 9-2 Region 8-A). Drew Cottrell tallied 15 points, and Josh Randolph had 13.
The Lions visit Commerce on Tuesday.
EAST HALL GIRLS 62, FANNIN COUNTY 38: Jatasia Bailey fueled the Lady Vikings with 12 points on Friday in Blue Ridge.
Carly Winters scored 10 points for East Hall (13-8), and Chelsea Dale, Ashlyn Ellison and Jenny Edwards all contributed nine in the team effort.
The Lady Vikings play host to Gainesville today.
BUFORD GIRLS 84, MADISON COUNTY 39: Chandler Hall’s 18 points led the Lady Wolves on Friday.
Katie Bisges knocked down five 3s for Buford (20-3, 7-0 Region 8-AAAA), finishing with 17 points. Corey Staples added 15 points.
The Lady Wolves visit Morrow on Tuesday.
NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS 72, STRONG WALL CHRISTIAN 46: Norris Rettiger led the Chargers with 18 points and set the school’s single-season scoring record on Friday in Flowery Branch.
Chris Palmer added 15 points for North Georgia Christian (21-8), which visits Dawson Christian on Monday in Dawsonville.
BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 69, FRANKLIN COUNTY 66: Kaitlyn Duncan racked up 27 points for the Lady Leopards on Friday in Carnesville.
Jody Milford drained four 3s for 12 points to lead Banks County (19-4, 7-3 Region 7-AAA), and Allison Smith had 11 points.
The Lady Leopards play host to Lumpkin County on Tuesday in Homer.
BANKS COUNTY BOYS 71, FRANKLIN COUNTY 52: Zac Orr notched 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Leopards on Friday in Carnesville.
Kamal Wiley added 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Zez Steeple had 15 points.
Banks County (19-4, 8-2 Region 7-AAA) plays host to Lumpkin County on Tuesday.
