High School Scoreboard: Gainesville High's Alyssa Turner scores her sixth consecutive hat trick

Gainesville High’s Alyssa Turner recorded her sixth-straight hat trick, scoring three goals on Friday in a 5-0 win against Heritage in Conyers.

Turner has scored a total of 22 goals over the Lady Red Elephants last six games.

Breanna Fair and Margaret Carpenter each added a goal, while goalkeeper Alondra Wedding made 14 saves for the clean sheet.

Gainesville (9-1, 6-0 8-AAAAA) hosts Wesleyan 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 3, MADISON COUNTY 2: Juan Quiroz and Hunter Carter scored in the first half for the Trojans on Friday.

Madison County scored an own goal to account for the Trojans third goal of the game.

Joel Barrientos picked up his second yellow card of the match early in the second half, forcing North Hall to play with 10 men for the rest of the game.

North Hall (2-6-2, 1-2 8-AAAA) hosts Buford on Tuesday.

EAST HALL BOYS 10, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: Leo Toledo scored six goals and had an assist on Friday.

Geizi Barrientos scored two goals, Sergio Turcios had a goal and two assists and Oscar Gonzalez scored a goal and had an assist.

Carlos Castrejon had five assists and Oscar Rosas made three saves in goal.

East Hall (10-1, 2-0 7-AAA) visits Banks County on Tuesday.

EAST HALL GIRLS 3, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: Anna Elizzareas, Kimberly Quintanilla and Jancy Almendares were the goal scorers for the Lady Vikings on Friday.

East Hall (3-8, 1-1 7-AAA) visits Banks County 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Baseball

GAINESVILLE 13, CLARKE CENTRAL 1: Pitcher Sam Carpenter went six innings and had six strikeouts while allowing three hits on Friday.

Gainesville’s Marshall Scott had two hits and four RBIs, and Farris Mance had two hits and three RBIs. Banks Griffith had two hits and an RBI for the Red Elephants. Anthony Carrera had two hits, a home run and two RBIs.

Gainesville (9-2, 6-0 8-AAAAA) hosts Loganville on Monday.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 13, SOCIAL CIRCLE 3: Pitcher Trevor Ballard had a complete game, allowing no earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks on Friday at Social Circle.

Lacrosse

GAINESVILLE BOYS 9, MEADOWCREEK 8 (OT): John Wagner scored the game-winning goal with 13.4 seconds left in overtime for the Red Elephants on Friday.

Thomas Alexander scored four goals, Luke Snelling had three goals and three assists, and Jack Brand added a goal. Also for Gainesville, Bill Hood had four assists, and goalkeeper Sam Terray made 18 saves.

Gainesville visits Duluth 5 p.m. on Apr. 13.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 15, DRUID HILLS 2: Ethan Cobb, Sheymus Maloney and Ben Turner each had a hat trick on Friday.

Grayson Wagoner scored twice and Chase Kaufman, Malik Griffiths, Andrew Poland and Michael Coppola each had a goal.

Cobb, Kaufman and Sam Lane all finished with two assists.

Track and Field

RIVERSIDE MILITARY TOPS RABUN COUNTY, SMOKEY MOUNTAIN HIGH, N.C. (THURSDAY): First place finishers for the Eagles were Moleik Campbell (long jump), Prince Story (Shot Put), Charles Dimnwaobi (High Jump), Brad Porter (300 meter hurdles), Jaison Galloway (400 meter dash), Juwan Thompson (200 meter dash) and the 400 meter and 1600-meter relays.

Second place finishers were Onyx Knox (400 meter dash) and Quinton Munroe (discus). Brent Lowery finished third in the 3200 meters and 800 meters.

Riverside Military takes part in the Flowery Branch Invitational at 9 a.m. today in Flowery Branch.
