Nick Biasi scored twice with a pair of assists for the Flowery Branch boys soccer team in a 6-3 win against North Hall on Thursday in Gainesville.

Fernando Castro had two goals and one assist for the Falcons, while Elias Araya scored once with a pair of assists. Dylan Windish had a goal and assist for the Falcons.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 1, NORTH HALL 0: Mara Wheat scored the game’s only goal for the Lady Falcons on Thursday at The Brickyard. Kelsey Mathis and Kristen Townsend combined for the shutout in goal for Flowery Branch. On Friday, Flowery Branch plays host to Forsyth Central.

Basketball

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS ADVANCE: The North Georgia Christian boys advanced in the GICAA state basketball tournament with a 75-58 victory over Heirway Christian Academy Thursday night in Flowery Branch.

Will Owens led the Chargers with 19 points. Rod Collins and Norris Rettiger chipped in 15 points each for North Georgia Christian. The Chargers will play at home Friday night at 7 in the next round of the GICAA state tournament.

Tennis

NORTH HALL BOYS 5, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: Jackson Davis earned a 6-1, 6-0 win; Dalton Patterson won 6-0, 6-2; and Reid Lattanzi earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory for the Trojans in their season-opening match Thursday.

In doubles, Paxton Gillespie/Matthew Chewning and Dawson Smith/Daniel Martin won for the Trojans.

On Feb. 23, North Hall visits Lumpkin County in Dahlonega.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 5, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: Karleigh Dills, Christen Barnes and Lauren Davis earned singles victories for the Lady Trojans on Thursday. In doubles, Courtney Barnes/MaKenzie Bryant and Annalise Gregory/Andrea Peck were winners.
