High School Scoreboard: Flowery Branch girls roll past Apalachee, 65-22

Taniyah Worth led the second-ranked Flowery Branch (16-0) girls with 18 points in a 65-22 win against Apalachee on Tuesday in Winder. Maddie Hetzel was also in double digit points with 12, Caroline Wysocki chipped in 11 and Julianne Sutton added 10 for the Lady Falcons.

Flowery Branch had firm control of the game early, leading 18-6 after the first quarter and 42-11 at halftime.

On Friday, Flowery Branch hosts Gainesville at 7 p.m.

APALACHEE BOYS 64, FLOWERY BRANCH 48: John Mills scored 18 for the Falcons (10-6) on Tuesday in Winder. On Friday, Flowery Branch hosts Gainesville at 8:30 p.m.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY ACADEMY 41, UNION COUNTY 30: Javon Thompson’s 15 points paced the Eagles on Tuesday in Gainesville. Juwan Thompson added 13 points for Riverside Military.

EAST HALL BOYS 84, FANNIN COUNTY 58: Tylor Brown made a career-high five 3-pointers, and scored 21 points for the Vikings on Tuesday in Blue Ridge. Triston Cooper finished with 17 points for the Vikings (10-4, 3-1 Region 7-AAA), who led 41-30 at halftime. Mahki Brown (14 points) and Markese Jackson (10) were also in double digit points for the Vikings.

On Friday, East Hall hosts West Hall in Gainesville.

EAST HALL GIRLS 66, FANNIN COUNTY 42: Carly Winters scored a team-high 26 points Tuesday night in Blue Ridge.

Lady Vikings senior Ashlyn Ellison added 12 points, Kylah Mize had 10 and Jenny Edwards scored nine.

East Hall (12-3, 3-1 7-AAA) hosts West Hall 7 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 49, ATHENS CHRISTIAN 40: Hanna Grogan went 12 of 15 from the free-throw line and totaled 18 points Tuesday night in Athens.

The Lady Lions’ Christen Copeland scored nine points and Ryann Moody added eight. Lakeview Academy (10-5, 3-0 8-A) hosts Towns County 7 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 60, ATHENS CHRISTIAN 52: Tre Gober led the Lions with 19 points, and Drew Cottrell added 16 on Tuesday in Athens. Daniel Fadool had 10 points and 10 assists for Lakeview (11-3, 3-0 Region 8-A).

Lakeview Academy plays host to Towns County at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 56, CHESTATEE 53: Chestatee’s Lindsey Caudell tallied 18 points and Dawndria Bell added 15 Tuesday night.

Brooklyn Popham had 12 points for the Lady War Eagles. Chestatee (6-9) hosts Stephens County Friday night.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 70, DAWSON COUNTY 47: Jack Howard crossed 1,000 career points with 27 points and seven rebounds on Tuesday in Dahlonega.

Zack Pulley chipped in a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Lumpkin County. Brandon Zarate scored eight points and nine rebounds.

On Friday, Lumpkin County visits Banks County at 8:30 p.m. in Homer.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 81, FRANKLIN COUNTY 52: Zez Steeple reached the 1,000-career point milestone, scoring 26 points on Tuesday in Carnesville.

Zac Orr chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds for Banks County, and Kahmal Wiley added 13 points and seven boards.

On Friday, Banks County hosts Lumpkin County at 8:30 p.m. in Dahlonega.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 66, LUMPKIN COUNTY 36: Kaylee Stickler led the Lady Tigers with 12 points, while Karlie Bearden, Haley Burgess and Ansley Costley all had 11 points Tuesday night.

Dawson County (15-0, 4-0 7-AAA) visits Fannin County Friday night.
