Kristina Nelson led the charge for Buford with 14 points in a 58-31 win against West Hall on Tuesday in Oakwood.
Bree Horrocks added 12 points for the Lady Wolves (17-4, 12-0 Region 7-AAA), and Mackenzie Darrah tallied 11.
For West Hall, Jensen Hall tallied 12 points, and Maia Booker recorded eight.
West Hall (9-15, 3-10 Region 7-AAA) plays host to Dawson County in their season finale at 7 p.m. on Friday in Oakwood, while Buford plays host to North Hall at 7 p.m. Friday in Buford.
CHESTATEE GIRLS 57, LANIER 50: Sam Brown put up 22 points for the Lady War Eagles in a region win against Lanier on Tuesday in Sugar Hill.
Katie Arthur added 12 points for Chestatee (19-5, 7-1 Region 8-AAAA), which will begin play in the region tournament at Johnson next Tuesday in Oakwood.
JOHNSON BOYS 63, WALNUT GROVE 34: Montrell McKenzie tallied another double-double for the Knights with 24 points and 12 rebounds on Tuesday in Walton County.
Ty Cockfield added 14 points and seven assists for Johnson (20-4, 7-0 Region 8-AAAA). Carter Cagle scored nine points, all in the first half, for the Knights.
Johnson faces Eastside for the No. 1 seed in 8-AAAA in the Knights’ regular season finale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in Oakwood.
LAKEVIEW BOYS 61, PINECREST ACADEMY 60: Joel Larsen made a free throw in the last second to give the Lions the win in coach Seth Vining’s last regular-season home game Tuesday in Gainesville.
Austin Montgomery led Lakeview (17-6, 10-2 Region 8A-A) with 23 points, while Larsen, Rick Valentine and Zach Montgomery each added eight points.
The Lions visit Athens Christian for a make-up game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Athens.
GAINESVILLE BOYS 78, LOGANVILLE 63: Luke Moore scored 25 points for the Red Elephants on Tuesday in Loganville.
Shaquan Cantrell tallied 17 points for Gainesville (14-9, 8-6 Region 8-AAAAA), and Deshaun Watson added 13.
Gainesville plays host to Salem at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Gainesville.
RIVERSIDE MILITARY 64, UNION COUNTY 57: Riverside Military shot 50 percent from 3-point range at Curtis Hall on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Gabe Fraser led the Eagles with 18 points, Jake Weiner tallied 18, and Collin Pettell recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Eagles visit Rabun County on Friday in Tiger.
JEFFERSON BOYS 74, RABUN COUNTY 54: Satchel Turpin tallied 21 points for the Dragons (14-9, 5-1 Region 8-AA) on Tuesday in Jefferson.
Kendrick Robinson scored 12 points for Jefferson, and Tyler Patrick added 11.
The Dragons play host to Social Circle in a make-up game at 7 p.m. tonight in Jefferson.
HERITAGE ACADEMY GIRLS 58, HORIZON CHRISTIAN 43: Anna Staub led the Lady Crusaders with 24 points on Tuesday.
Audrey Weiner added 19 for Heritage Academy (19-0), which travels to Covenant Christian Academy in their regular-season finale on Friday in Loganville.
The Gainesville High girls opened the season with a 3-2 win against Buford on Tuesday. In singles, Georgia Summer and Katherine Wright were victorious for the Lady Red Elephants, while the tandem of Morgan Mercer and Lauren Carter won in doubles for Gainesville. Buford’s Annalea Stevens won in three sets at No. 1 singles, while its No. 2 doubles team of Rebecca Hendrix and Jessica Thompson were winners.
