Victor Salcido recorded four saves in goal for Riverside.

The win was the first on the season for Riverside (1-1, 0-0 Region 6-AA) who will play host to Towns County at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 5, LAKESIDE-DEKALB 1: Four players scored goals for the Lady Falcons (1-1) in the Longhorn Invitational on Thursday at North Gwinnett High in Suwanee.

Alex Lee led Flowery Branch with two goals while Lindsay Porter, Bri Nickerson and Cassidy Elrod each scored once for the Lady Falcons.

Flowery Branch plays host to Mill Creek at 1 p.m. Saturday in Flowery Branch.

LAKESIDE-DEKALB BOYS 2, FLOWERY BRANCH 1, 2OT: Phillip Abraham scored for Flowery Branch on an assist from Jairo Santos with 15 mintues left in regulation to tie the score at one Thursday in the Longhorn Invitational at North Gwinnett High.

The Falcons (0-2) play host to Mill Creek at 3 p.m. Saturday in Flowery Branch.

JACKSON COUNTY 5, JEFFERSON 1 (Wednesday): Led by a two-goal, two-assist performance by Christian Sanchez, the
Panthers dominated the Dragons on Wednesday.

Also scoring goals were Miguel Guereca with two and Leo Yang with one.

Jackson County visits Walnut Grove at 7:30 tonight.

Baseball

HABERSHAM CENTRAL 4, GAINESVILLE 3, 9 inn.: David Gonzalez and Ryan Griffith each pitched four innings and allowed an earned run for the Red Elephants on Thursday at Ivey-Watson Field.

K.J. McAllister had two of Gainesville’s three hits on the night.

Gainesville plays host to Hart County at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday at Ivey-Watson Field.

NORTH HALL 16, LAKEVIEW 1, 4 inn.: The Trojans Jackson Coker had five RBIs in a shortened game against Lakeview.
Chris Stevens pitched a complete-game shutout while giving up only three hits.

North Hall (2-0) will play host to Forsyth Central at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Golf

GAINESVILLE 71, DAWSON COUNTY 81: LeeAnn Noble’s 7 over led the Lady Red Elephants in a six-hole match Thursday.
Rachel Dotson finished at +11 for Dawson County in a match shortened due to darkness.

Gainesville next plays Saturday in the Gwinnett Open at The Chimneys in Winder.

OCONEE COUNTY 6, JEFFERSON 1 (Wednesday): Jefferson’s only run came off an RBI in the second inning by Corey Wilkens as the Dragons lost at home Wednesday.

Jefferson will play host to Madison County at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.

Tennis

LAMBERT BOYS 5, WEST HALL 0: The Spartan boys tennis team lost on the road Wednesday.

The sweep by Lambert was West Hall’s first sub-region loss of the year.

The Spartans (4-2, 2-1 Region 7B-AAA) play at 4 p.m. Monday at North Forsyth.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 3, LUMPKIN COUNTY 2: With a strong performance from No. 1 singles player Cara Reece, the Lady Trojans moved to 3-2 on the season.

North Hall girls (3-2, 2-0 Region 7A-AAA) play host to Gilmer at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

CHESTATEE BOYS 5, PICKENS 0: The War Eagles swept Pickens at home Thursday.

Chestatee will play host to White County at 4 p.m. Monday.

WEST FORSYTH BOYS 5, JOHNSON 0: The Knights fell to 1-4 on the season Thursday as they were swept by West Forsyth.
Johnson (1-4, 0-2 Region 7B-AAA) will play host to Gainesville at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST FORSYTH GIRLS 5, JOHNSON 0: The Lady Knights were swept Thursday by West Forsyth.

Johnson (2-2, Region 7B-AAA) travels to Gainesville at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

NORTH FORSYTH GIRLS 3, JOHNSON 2 (Wednesday): Despite sweeping the Lady Raiders in doubles, the Lady Knights failed to win a singles match and lost Wednesday.

The No. 1 team of Claire Crain and Harlee Robson won 6-4, 6-3 and the No. 2 team of Lauren Houston and Carlyn Ivey won 6-7, 6-4, 6-2.
