Martin scores two in North Hall win

After a scoreless first half, Dillon Martin led the Trojans (2-0-1) with two goals in a 2-0 win against Dawson County on Friday night in Dawsonville. Chance Martin earned an assist for the Trojans.

Abraham Elias recorded three saves in the first half for North Hall, and Carlos Prianti had one to combine for the shutout.

The Trojans visit Buford at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 3, LANIER 1: Tania Perez scored two goals for the Lady Spartans (2-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAA South) Friday night in Oakwood. Rachel Kline added a goal for West Hall, Shannon Mundy finished with two assists, and Katie Forrester had one assist.

The Lady Spartans visit Dacula at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL 3, LANIER 1: Omar Castillo, Dabid Marquez and McGowan Peacock each scored a goal for the Spartans (3-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAA South) Friday night in Oakwood. Pedro Perez, Alejandro Zamora and Edgar Jaimes each added assists for West Hall.

The Spartans visit Dacula at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 4, JOHNSON 0: Cassidy Elrod had one goal and two assists for the Lady Falcons (5-0) Friday night in Flowery Branch. Lauren Kirk, Hannah Kirk and Jenn Moreno all added one goal for the Lady Falcons, and Morgan Glenn recorded one assist. Lauren Dunn earned the shutout with nine saves for Flowery Branch.

The Lady Falcons host Rabun County at 5 p.m. Thursday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 1, JOHNSON 1: After a scoreless first half, Justin Hechavarria gave the Falcons the lead on a goal early in the second half. The Knights came back and tied the game with about five minutes remaining.

Flowery Branch hosts Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Johnson hosts East Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 3, WHITE COUNTY 1: Melanie Smith and Shannon Grossman each scored in the first half Lady War Eagles (2-1) Friday night in Gainesville. Alexis Rebollar added a goal for Chestatee, while Misandy Chavez recorded four saves.

Savannah Castles scored a penalty kick for the Lady Warriors (1-3, 0-1 Region 8-AAA North) in the second half.

Melody Driscoll recorded three saves for White County.

Chestatee hosts Walnut Grove at 5:30 p.m.

CHESTATEE BOYS 4, WHITE COUNTY 1: Arnold Gamez had two goals and two assists for the War Eagles (2-2, 2-0 Region 8-AAA North) Friday night in Gainesville. Roldan Reyes finished with one goal and one assist for Chestatee, and Edgar Guerrero added a goal.

The Warriors scored off of an own goal from the War Eagles.

Chestatee hosts Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 5, STEPHENS COUNTY 0: Hartley Carter scored a hat trick for the Lady Red Elephants (3-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAA South) on Friday night at City Park Stadium. Liza Carpenter and Elizabeth Fischer each added a goal for Gainesville, and Ashlie Gonzalez recorded two saves.

The Lady Red Elephants host Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Park.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 9, STEPHENS COUNTY 0: Douglas Mejia had two goals and two assist for the Red Elephants (3-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAA South) Friday night at City Park. Nathan Dillard added two goals for Gainesville, Edwardo Espinoza and Aiden Reising each added one goal and one assist. Edgar Espinoza, Yunis Yanes, Harrison Patton each finished with one goal, and Alberto Murrillo and Abraham Rivas each added an assist for the Red Elephants.

Edgar Espinoza and Juan Remez combined for the shutout for the Red Elephants.

Gainesville hosts Monroe Area at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Park.

AQUINAS GIRLS 4, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 0: Marcelle Zavala had 11 saves in goal for the Lady Lions Friday night in Gainesville.

Lakeview hosts North Forsyth at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

AQUINAS BOYS 2, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 1 (OT): Tyler Kimball scored on a free kick for the Lions on Friday night in Gainesville. Dalton Snyder recorded 10 saves for Lakeview.

Lakeview hosts North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

GAINESVILLE 10, WEST LAURENS 0: Skyler Weber led the Red Elephants (2-0) going 2 for 3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored Friday night at Ivey-Watson Field. Hunter Anglin earned the win, a complete two-hitter and five strikeouts for the Red Elephants, and Ryan Griffith had his 100th hit.

Gainesville hosts West Laurens at 1 p.m. today in Gainesville.

GLASCOCK 8, RIVERSIDE MILITARY 7: Christian Phares went 2 for 3 at bat with two RBIs for the Eagles Thursday evening in Gibson. Zane Stringer went 2 for 3 at bat and Orlando Lynch finished 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs for Riverside.

The Eagles host Pinecrest at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

UNION COUNTY 10, TOWNS COUNTY 0: Phillip Stubblefield went 2 for 2 with two doubles and three runs scored for the Panthers (1-0) Friday night in Blairsville. Lane Everett went 2 for 2 with two RBIs for Union County, and Zach Odom and T Bentley each went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs for Union County..000

The Panthers visit Towns County at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Hiawassee.

FLOWERY BRANCH 20, NORTH OCONEE 0: Chase Hulsey led the Falcons (2-0) going 2 for 3 with five RBIs and a grand slam Friday night in Bogart after only playing three innings in a mercy rule finish. Brody Thomas went 3 for 3 at the plate for Flowery Branch, C.J. Navin went 2 for 2 with an RBI, Breck Davidson went 2 for 2 with four RBIs and, Keltin DeVoe went 2 for 2 with two RBIs.

The Falcons visit North Hall at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Gainesville.

CHATTAHOOCHEE BOYS 16, RIVERSIDE MILITARY 0: Nicolas Gasparro had more than 25 saves in goal for the Eagles Thursday in Johns Creek.

Riverside visits Wesleyan on Monday in Norcross.

WEST HALL BOYS 4, DULUTH 1: No. 1 doubles duo Brenden Worth and Min Kim led the Spartans (3-1) with a 6-1, 6-2 Thursday afternoon in Oakwood.

West Hall hosts Walnut Grove on Tuesday.

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 77, LUMPKIN COUNTY 81 (THURSDAY): Brittan Slaton led the Lady Warriors with a 38 Thursday afternoon in seven holes of play at Mossy Creek in Cleveland.

Jodi Samples recorded a 39 for White County, Kaytlyn Sims finished with a 41, and Rachel Hammond with a 42.

Taylor Gooch led the Lady Indians with a 39, Morgan Wood finished with a 42, and Haley Dibble recorded a 44.

ATHENS ACADEMY BOYS 4, RIVERSIDE MILITARY 1: Nicholas Pitchon and Josh Haughton recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win at No.2 doubles Thursday for the Eagles.

Riverside visits Athens Christian at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
