Haley Twiggs shot a 31 as the North Hall girls golf team (1-0) opened its season with a 71-88 win against Chestatee on Thursday afternoon in a 7-hole match at the Chattahoochee Country Club. Caroline White finished with 40 for the Lady Trojans.
Madison Eiberger recorded a 42 for the Lady War Eagles and Victoria Gean finished with a 46.
The Lady Trojans visit Habersham Central at 4 p.m. Monday.
JOHNSON BOYS 167, LUMPKIN COUNTY 172, NORTH FORSYTH 186: Luke James shot even par, recording a 36 for the Knights (1-1) Thursday at the Achasta Golf Course.
Austin Booker and Joseph Jarrard each recorded a 37 for the Indians.
Lumpkin County visits Dawson County at 3:45 p.m. March 5.
WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 77, LUMPKIN COUNTY 81: Brittany Slaton recorded a 38 for the Warriors on Thursday at Mossy Creek and Jodi Samples finished with a 39.
Taylor Gooch recorded a 39 for the Indians, and Morgan Wood finished with a 42.
White County plays in the Gwinnett Open at 9 a.m. Saturday, and Lumpkin County visits West Hall at 4 p.m.

JOHNSON GIRLS 50, JACKSON COUNTY 32: Latavia Cheeks recorded wins in the long jump, 400 relay, 100 meter and 1600 relay for the Lady Knights, and Bridgett Johnson added wins in the triple jump, 400 relay, 200 meter and 1600 relay. Wins for Johnson also came from Lajavian Ratliff in the 400 and 1600 relay, Sorah Hodge in the high jump, Erin Neal and Emily Crampton in 1600 relay, and Lisa Reyes and Daisey Yubra tied in the 800 meter.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 11, CENTRAL FORSYTH 4: Junior Noah Kennedy scored five goals for the Eagles on Wednesday in Gainesville. Mackenzie Recker, Peter Andreozzi, Jordan Peebles, Scott Baker and David Chenette all added goals for Riverside.
Riverside visits Wesleyan at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

CHESTATEE BOYS 5, FRANKLIN COUNTY 0: No. 1 singles player Jonathan Cook won 6-2, 7-5 for the War Eagles (2-0) Thursday night in Gainesville. In the No. 2 singles match, Chestatee’s Juan Carrion added a 6-2, 6-3 win, and Jeremy Cwikla came back from a set down to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. Blaine Brown and Reed Johnson won 7-6(7-1), 6-3 at No.1 doubles, and Casey Campbell and Dillan Stapler came from down 5-0 in the first set of the No.2 doubles match to rally to a 7-6(10-8), 6-1 victory.
The War Eagles visit Lumpkin County Tuesday.
