The West Hall High girls got off to a quick start, outscoring Westminister 19-9 in the first quarter en route to a 54-37 win in Atlanta.
West Hall was led in scoring by Kaelyn Gattis and Brooke Reed, who scored nine points each.
Westminster was led by Catherine Johnston’s 18 points.
West Hall (2-6) hosts Mountain View today at 4 p.m in Oakwood.
NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN GIRLS 37, HOLY GROUND 28: The Lady Chargers improved to 2-1 with a win over the Lady Stallions on Friday in Gainesville.
North Georgia Christian is off until after the Christmas break.
TOWNS COUNTY GIRLS 84, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 34: Taylor Handte continued to lead the Lady Lions (4-5, 0-2 Region 8-A) in scoring with 17 points on Friday in Hiawassee.
The Lady Indians (5-2, 1-0) were led by Gabby Arencibia’s 33 points in their third consecutive win.
Lakeview visits Lumpkin County at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Towns County hosts Dawson County at 6 p.m. today.
LAKEVIEW BOYS 82, TOWNS COUNTY 34: The Lions had 12 players score as they remained undefeated in region play Friday in Hiawassee.
Austin Pearson scored 19 points for Lakeview, and Austin Montgomery added 11 points.
The Lions (4-2, 2-0 Region 8-A) visit Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday
BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 42, FANNIN COUNTY 38: Taylor Kennedy led the Lady Leopards with 14 points Friday in Blue Ridge.
The Lady Rebels made a late charge, outscoring Banks County (4-1) 19-15 in the fourth quarter, but the Lady Leopards were able to make 7 of 11 free throws in the final period to maintain the lead and hold onto the win.
Banks County visits Jackson County today at 5:30 p.m. in Jefferson.
DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 62, TECH HIGH 11: The Lady Tigers held the opponent scoreless in the first half Friday in Dawsonville.
Ashley Parker recorded a game-high 18 points and pulled in 14 rebounds for Dawson County.
The Lady Tigers (4-2) visit Towns County at 6 p.m. tonight in Hiawassee.
LUMPKIN COUNTY GIRLS 49, LANIER 46: The Lady Indians were down by one point heading into the fourth quarter before rallying for the win Friday in Dahlonega.
Lumpkin County’s Morgan Wood led all scorers with 23, while Lanier’s Shelby Threlkeld finished with 22.
The Lady Indians (3-5) host Lakeview at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
LANIER BOYS 71, LUMPKIN COUNTY 62: The Longhorns shot 17 free throws in the fourth quarter and outscored the Indians 26-15 in the final period for victory in Dahlonega. Kelvin Williams scored a team-high 13 for Lumpkin County and Jacob Haskel added 12.
NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN 76, HOLY GROUND 26: Trey Collins recorded a double-double as the Chargers routed Holy Ground on Friday in Gainesville.
Gabe Frazier tallied 17 points with four made three-pointers, while Dylan Boonstra had 12 points and two blocks. Aaron Willis added 11 points in the North Georgia Christian win.
The Chargers begin play in the Suwannee Tournament at 3 p.m. on Friday.
