The North Hall High wrestling team scored 190 points and finished first out of 16 teams in the King of the Mountain duals in Hiawassee on Saturday. Lumpkin County placed second (187) and Dawson County finished third (161).

For North Hall, Taylor Marett (103 pounds), Tyler Kratzer (135) and Shane Doster (171) all placed first in their weight class. Matt Joy (112), Cody Wilsdon (160) and Lee Sisson (189) all finished second. Clay Williamson (119) and Tyler Goss (125) placed third for North Hall.

WAR EAGLES PLACE THIRD AT DULUTH: The Chestatee High wrestling team earning third place at the Duluth Duals on Saturday. The War Eagles defeated St. Francis (48-30), Norcross (65-15), Greater Atlanta Christian (36-28) and Newton (48-20). The only loss for Chestatee was against Alcovy 38-36.

Chestatee takes part in the Creekview Invitational next Friday in Canton.

Basketball

LAKEVIEW BOYS 90, CHESTATEE 86: Austin Pearson scored 24 and Matt Askounis added 21 for the Lions (2-2) on Friday in Gainesville. Trevor Price and Jackson Wells each added 10 for Lakeview, which plays host to George Walton Academy at 7:30 next Friday.

Cole Morgan led Chestatee with 30 points and Kealan Passmore finished with 13. Kelly Arthur and Lucas Bennett each finished with 12 points for the War Eagles (1-4), which play host to Union County at 8:30 on Friday in Gainesville.

NORTH HALL BOYS 61, FLOWERY BRANCH 43: Preston Smith (13), Ethan Smith (11) and Chris Barnes (10) were all in double-digits scoring for the Trojans (3-0) on Saturday. Rudy DeAza was Flowery Branch’s (1-2) lone scorer in double digits with 10.

Flowery Branch visits Loganville on Friday.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 69, FLOWERY BRANCH 48: McKenna Rushton scored 14 and Mary Kate Rushton added 11 for the Lady Trojans (1-2) on Saturday. Sarah Paschall and Paige Stewart each finished with 10 for North Hall, which visits East Hall at 7 p.m. Friday.

Tavis Sykes scored a game-high 26 points for the Lady Falcons.

JOHNSON GIRLS 55, LUMPKIN COUNTY 40:
Caitlin Sloan had 12 points and five rebounds for the Lady Knights (3-2) on Saturday in Oakwood. Lyndsey Pethel scored 11 points for Johnson and Emily Byers finished with 10.

Frankie Walls and Emma Thomaswick each scored 10 for Lumpkin County.

Johnson faces Oglethorpe County at 4 p.m. Dec. 11 in Lexington.

JOHNSON BOYS 54, LUMPKIN COUNTY 33: Cedric Harris recorded a double-double for the Knights with 16 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday in Oakwood. Matt Hollis added 15 for the Knights, which visit Oglethorpe County on Saturday in Lexington.

BUFORD 55, MAYNARD JACKSON 19:
Kaela Davis and Sheresse Williams each scored 11 for the Lady Wolves (1-1) on Saturday in Buford. The Lady Wolves outscored Maynard Jackson 23-2 in the first quarter and extended the lead to 43-4 at halftime.

Buford visits South Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

JEFFERSON GIRLS 55, MOUNTAIN VIEW 52: The Lady Dragons (3-2) picked up the victory against Class AAAAA’s Mountain View on Saturday in Lawrenceville. Jefferson plays host to Oconee County at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

JOHNSON BOYS 84, JEFFERSON 83 (FRIDAY): Jalen Bowens scored 24 points and Matt Hollis added 23 for the Knights on Friday in Jefferson. Ty Odem scored 17 for the Knights (3-1) and Cedric Harris added 10.

David Watson scored a game-high 30 points for the Dragons (2-2) and Austin Thompson added 10.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 58, NORTH OCONEE 51 (FRIDAY):
Keodric Sadler and Quan Holcomb each scored 14 points to lead the Red Elephants to the win Friday in Bogart.

Sadler also pulled down 16 rebounds for Gainesville (4-0), which visits Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN GIRLS 40, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 17 (FRIDAY): Jamie Nixon scored seven points and Mona Abraham scored four in the loss Friday at Providence.

Lakeview Academy (1-2) hosts George Walton at 6 p.m. Thursday.
