Taylor Handte had a game-high 20 points in the Lady Lion in a 58-44 win against Lumpkin County on Friday in Gainesville.

Lakeview’s Kelsey Gelbert and Kaylee McClendon added 10 points each.

The Lady Indians’ Morgan Wood scored a team high 16 points, and Brittany McClain added 12 points in their losing effort.

Lakeview (4-2) visits George Walton Academy at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL GIRLS 45, WEST HALL 18: The Lady Raiders got off to a quick start with an eight point advantage after the first quarter and never let up Friday in Oakwood.

Haley Gerrin led all scorers with 11 points for Habersham Central, while Kerra Kannup scored 10.

West Hall (1-5) visits Westminister at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

COMMERCE GIRLS 44, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 42: Despite shooting 5 for 23 from the free throw line and being outscored 20-14 in the fourth quarter, the Commerce girls basketball team was able to hold off Oglethorpe County and win in Commerce on Friday.

Alli Morgan led the Lady Tigers (1-1) with 17 points, and teammate Lilly Mather added 13 more points.

Oglethorpe County’s (1-3) Tanish Ebberhart scored 19 points.

Commerce plays East Jackson at 6 p.m. today.

DAWSON COUNTY 42, GILMER COUNTY 31: Carly Gilreath had 10 points and five assists to lead the Lady Tigers to victory on Friday in Dawsonville. Dawson County’s Kenna Seitz had five points, five rebounds and three blocks.

Dawson County visits Fellowship Christian at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

UNION COUNTY GIRLS 49, WHITE COUNTY 32: Union County’s Catie Tanner scored 17 to lead all scorers while teammate Lauren Zollinger added 11 for the Lady Panthers (4-0) on Friday.

Shauna Anderson tallied 10 points for the Lady Warriors.

The Lady Panthers visit Towns County at 6 p.m. today.

UNION COUNTY BOYS 58, WHITE COUNTY 48: Rhett McCombs scored 16 points and helped the Panthers (2-2) avenge a loss earlier this season in Cleveland. Zach Odom added 13 points for Union County.

Andrew London and Juwan Dorsey had 12 and 10 points respectively for the Warriors.

Union County visits Towns County at 7:30 p.m. today.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 55, GILMER COUNTY 48: Tyler Dominy scored a game-high 24 points to help the Tigers remain unbeaten on Friday in Dawsonville. Cameron Chester added 10 points for Dawson County (4-0).

The Tigers visit Fellowship Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
