Dawson County took a 57-49 win over Schley County in the Pacelli Christmas tournament on Monday night in Columbus.

Bruce Clark led the Tigers (9-1) with 17 points and Tyler Dominy added 10.

Schley County’s Lorenzo Lawson and Markendous Thornton both totaled 19 points.

Dawson County will play Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. today in the finals.

BUFORD GIRLS 47, MATER DEI 60: Buford fell to Mater Dei (Calif.), the two-time defending national champions, on Monday in the Nike Tournament of Champions in Pheonix, Ariz.

For the Lady Wolves, Kaela Davis led the way 25 points. Mater Dei’s Nirra Fields tallied a game-high 27 points leading the Monarchs to their victory.

Buford will continue to compete against nationally ranked schools today, taking on Incarnate Word (Mo.) at noon.
