Class AA’s top-ranked Buford High softball team remained undefeated in region play with a 6-0 win against Lovett on Monday in Buford.

Karly Fullem picked up her 10th win of the season with six strikeouts and one hit allowed, while going 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored at the plate for Buford (21-2-1, 4-0 Region 6-AA).

Alysha Rudnik was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a triple and a run scored for the Lady Wolves. Brandi Hellemn was also 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Buford visits Decatur at 5 p.m. today.

VOLLEYBALL

Lakeview splits on the road

The Lady Lions beat Madison County (25-11, 25-21) and lost to Habersham Central (25-19, 25-17) on Monday in Mount Airy.

Megan Rochester had six kills and two aces for Lakeview (9-12, 5-4 Area 8-A/AA). Ivy Godfrey had three aces against Habersham Central.

Morgan Black had five kills, Louisa Jacobs had three aces, and Jess Berzack added three aces and 12 assists against Madison County.

Lakeview Academy faces North Hall and North Forsyth at 5 p.m. Thursday at North Hall. Habersham Central (22-4, 6-1 Area 8-AAAA) faces Johnson and Lithia Springs at 8:20 p.m. Friday at Heritage.
