Bailey Towles notched eight assists and seven aces to lead Lakeview Academy to a pair of wins against Johnson (25-9, 25-13) and Shiloh (25-14, 25-15) on Thursday in Oakwood.
Katie White added 10 digs and seven kills for the Lady Lions, and Katie Gay had 11 digs and five kills. Delaney Jarrett contributed nine assists and four aces, and Schyler Miller had nine digs and three aces.
For Johnson (5-13), Grace Eidson notched five digs and four assists, and Cassie McDonald and Brooke Balenger each had two digs and two kills.
Lakeview Academy visits George Walton Academy on Sept. 4 in Monroe, while Johnson visits Lumpkin County on the same date.
JEFFERSON TAKES PAIR: Grace Williamson notched 11 aces and eight kills to lead the Lady Dragons in wins against Morgan County (25-21, 22-25, 25-19) and Hart County (25-12, 25-17) on Thursday in Jefferson.
Abby Wood added 11 kills and six aces for Jefferson (10-6, 3-1 Region 8-AAA), and Madison Corbett had 21 assists and two aces. Olivia Przybysz notched 14 digs.
EAST HALL SWEEPS ON THE ROAD: Allyson Segars notched 11 kills, eight digs, six aces and one block for East Hall in wins against Meadowcreek (25-15, 25-14) and Lanier (25-23, 25-21) on Thursday in Sugar Hill.
Cassida Shockley had 23 assists, nine digs and four kills, and Emily Roberts added 13 kills, four blocks and a dig for the Lady Vikings (20-3).
East Hall visits East Jackson for a tri-match on Sept. 4 in Commerce.
CHESTATEE SPLITS TRI-MATCH: Grace Brown’s 18 digs, 12 kills, four aces and four blocks led the Lady War Eagles in a win against Gainesville (25-21, 25-18) and a loss to George Walton Academy (25-22, 25-22) on Thursday in Gainesville.
Tyler Bennett added 20 digs, 13 assists, five kills and an ace for Chestatee, and Macey Jarrard notched 19 digs, six kills, an ace and an assisted block.
CHESTATEE 18, JOHNSON 7: Kenyana Wesley went 2 for 4 with three runs scored for the Lady War Eagles on Thursday.
Bailey Mason was 3 for 4 with a run scored for Chestatee (4-8), Sierra Brock finished 3 for 6 with a double and three runs scored, and Cheyenne Roper was 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Becca Eddins finished 3 for 3 with a run scored.
The Lady War Eagles play host to Baconton Charter and Lanier on Saturday in Gainesville.
BANKS COUNTY 2, DAWSON COUNTY 1: Mallory Parson pitched a complete game with just four hits and three strikeouts while going 1 for 3 with a run scored for the Lady Leopards on Thursday in Dawsonville.
Shelby Parson went 1 for 2 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases, and Madison Beauchamp was 1 for 3 with a single for Banks County (9-3, 4-1 Region 7-AAA).
The Lady Leopards play host to West Hall at 5 p.m. on Sept. 4 in Homer.
BUFORD 13, NORTH OCONEE 3: Alexus Murray went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs for the Lady Wolves on Thursday in Buford.
Baylee Sexton was 1 for 2 with a pair of RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base for Buford (12-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAAA), and Tessa Daniels was 1 for 1 with a sacrifice fly, two RBIs and a run scored. Brianna Gutierrez contributed with a pair of RBIs in a 1-for-2 performance.
Bria Bush earned the win pitching with five strikeouts over three innings.
The Lady Wolves visit North Hall on Tuesday in Gainesville.
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 11, HEBRON CHRISTIAN 3: Hannah Brown earned the win pitching and had two hits for Lakeview Academy on Thursday.
Julian Garrett added three hits for the Lady Lions, and L.K. Turpin had three hits.
Lakeview Academy plays host to Athens Christian on Tuesday.
EAST HALL 6, FRANKLIN COUNTY 4: Kali Turner went 3 for 3 with three singles for East Hall on Thursday.
Emma House hit a two-run single for the Lady Vikings, and Logan Turner stole home.
East Hall visits Union County on Sept. 3 in Blairsville.
WAR EAGLES PLACE: Chestatee’s Jack Carnes took second place at Union County on Thursday in Blairsville. The War Eagles finished second as a team behind Union County.
Chestatee’s girls edged out Hayesville, N.C., by just four points, led by Lindsey Grater, Abbie Cliche and Merrie Barnett.
Chestatee hosts the War Eagle Invitational on Saturday in Gainesville.
