The Johnson High girls soccer team lost 1-0 to Alexander in the first round of the Class AAAA state tournament on Tuesday in Douglasville.

Johnson ends the season with a 9-8-2 overall record and was 6-2 in Region 8-AAAA.

NORTH PAULDING GIRLS 4, GAINESVILLE 1: The Lady Red Elephants got one goal on Tuesday in Dallas. With the loss, Gainesville ends the season 10-6-1 and 5-3 in region play.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN GIRLS 5, HORIZON CHRISTIAN 4 (PKs): The Lady Chargers ended regulation in a 1-1 tie with a Sarah Rhodes goal on Tuesday in Cumming.

Rhodes, Rachel MacLagan, Jordan Ball and Sydney Bokelman scored in penalty kicks to lead North Georgia to a win in the Independent Christian Schools of Georgia and Alabama championship semifinals.

Georgia Clark stopped four penalty shots in goal.

The Lady Chargers play in the ISCGA championship game on Saturday in Conyers.


GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN BOYS 3, JEFFERSON 0: The Dragons fell in the second round of the Class AA state tournament on Monday in Jefferson.

Jefferson finished the season 10-6 and was the Region 8-AA runner-up.
