Thirteen members of the Flowery Branch High boys and girls tennis teams have been named to the 2011 Region 8-AAAA All-Region teams, announced Wednesday.

For the boys, Luke Smith and Anthony Monacella were named No. 1 doubles on the first team, while the team of Issac Black and Christopher Hedden was named the second team’s No. 2 doubles. Cris Dilidili was also named to the second team at No. 3 singles. Also in singles, A.J. Morris and Taylor Fiorello were both named Honorable Mentions.

For the Lady Falcons, Elizabeth Mallory was named No. 3 singles on the first team, while Anna Kate Shaw fills the same spot on the second team. The doubles teams of Madison Smith/Bekki Benton and Durden Smith/Dani Taylor were named to the second team at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.

Two Habersham Central girls players were named to the squad: Kate Lanier at first team No. 1 singles and Kadie Hudgins as an honorable mention.
