East Hall’s furious fourth-quarter rally fell short as West Hall hung on for a 51-39 win in the first round of the Lanierland tournament Wednesday at North Hall High School. Down 41-22 entering the final period, the Lady Vikings reeled off an 11-0 run in only 56 seconds. But East Hall’s 3-point sharpshooting eventually dwindled, and the Lady Spartans made just enough free throws down the stretch to clinch the win.
