Hall, Gainesville schools to hold remote learning day Thursday, as Hurricane Zeta bears down on Gulf Coast
The Gainesville City School System will not hold in-person classes on Thursday, Oct. 29, as Hall County prepares strong winds and heavy rain expected from Hurricane Zeta. Class is still in session but will be hosted virtually, the school system says.

Chestatee girls to be featured on tonight's HCS-TV

Chestatee’s girls basketball team had its 11-game winning streak snapped Monday by Pickens, and this week on Hall County Sports Television, Lady War Eagle coach Web Daniel talks about his team. Chestatee’s win over Gilmer will also be feature as HCS-TV’s Game of the Week.

This week’s program also includes a report from the Hall County Swim Championships, which was won by Flowery Branch girls and the Riverside boys teams. Riverside coach Marc Paglia and Chestatee swimmer Sarah Schwanke, who won two individual titles and swam on a winning relay team, will appear on the show.

Members of the Georgia IronDawgs powerlifting team will also be on to discuss their last victory.

Hall County Sports airs on Charter Communications channels 19 and 23 at 8 p.m. Monday-Wednesdsay, 9 tonight, 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. Saturday, 7:30 a.m. Sunday, and online at www.hallcountysportstv.

The Game of the Week airs at 6 tonight and 4 p.m. Sunday on channels 19 and 23.
