Gainesville senior Jaymee Carnes was named the North team’s Most Valuable Player in Sunday’s Georgia Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star game in Savannah.
Carnes, a 6-foot-1 forward who is committed to Wake Forest, scored 12 points to go with five rebounds and three blocked shots.
Despite Carnes’ contributions, the South won the game, 80-79.
