Calhoun overwhelms Banks County, 63-0

The Banks County High football team fell in the first round of the Class AA state playoffs to Calhoun 63-0 on Friday night in Calhoun.

It marked the Leopards' (6-5) first playoff appearance since 1997.

Justin Beasley led Banks County with 25 carries for 123 yards, and the area's leading rusher finished the season with 2,166 yards.

The Leopards held the score tight early. The Yellow Jackets led 7-0 after the first quarter.

Banks County's season is now complete. Calhoun (9-2) plays host to Westminster next Friday night.
