The Buford girls basketball team remained ranked first in Class AA in a Georgia basketball poll released Monday by the Georgia Sportswriters Association.

The Lady Wolves, who have won 23 straight games, received five of the six first-place votes.

Area teams that are not ranked but received votes are the Jefferson and West Hall boys and the Gainesville girls.
