Bricknell leads Young Harris to 6-5 win over Southern Wesleyan

Zach Bricknell and Trey Rogers combined to drive in five runs as Young Harris College won 6-5 against Southern Wesleyan University on Tuesday in Central, S.C.

Young Harris took the lead on Bricknell’s Peach Belt Conference-leading 14th homer, a three-run shot, in the fourth after David Atwood singled and Jack Morrow walked.

Bricknell led Young Harris (19-19) with three hits, while Adam Moore and Atwood added two each in the 11-hit performance.

Miles Nagel (1-2) earned the win with three innings of relief, and Flowery Branch High graduate James Mills earned his first save for the Mountain Lions.

Young Harris plays host to Reinhardt University at 6 tonight in Young Harris.
