Banks County wrestling coach Hanley named Coach of the Year

Banks County head wrestling coach Kasey Hanley and Gainesville native Shane Haff will be honored by the Georgia chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame at a banquet at 3 p.m. on May 5 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast in Norcross.

Hanley, a former Jefferson High wrestler, was named the Georgia Coach of the Year after coaching his team to the first-ever state championship in any sport for Banks County High.

Haff, who wrestled for North Hall High, is being honored as the Wrestling Official of the Year.
