High school track and field: Riverside Military finishes second at Eagle Invitational
Gainesville boys finish third

The Riverside Military Academy track & field program took first place in the 1600 relay to carry second place overall ahead of third-place Gainesville at the Eagle Invitational on Saturday in Commerce. 

Charles Dimnwaobi, James Seymore, Demi Lasisi and Isaac Teasley comprised the Eagles’ relay team that finished the race in 3 minutes, 28 seconds. 

Dimnwaobi also won the 100 meter (10.86 seconds) and high jump (6 feet, 2 inches) for the Eagles. In the long jump, Riverside Military’s Teasley won (20-9) and was followed by his teammate Orlando Stevens (20-8).

The Eagles’ 800 relay team finished second (1:30.75), followed by Gainesville in third (1:33.6).

For Gainesville, Davonte Mize won the 300 hurdles (39.32) and triple jump (44-01). Mize finished second in the 110 hurdles (14:94). 

Mugisha Beinvenu took second in the 1600 (4:41.38) and 3200 (10:04) for the Red Elephants. 

In the girls’ race, Flowery Branch’s Erika Plummer won the 3200 (11:25.13).
