High school tennis scoreboard: No. 2 doubles team clinches win for Gainesville boys tennis in regular season finale

GAINESVILLE BOYS 3, NORTH HALL 2: Dylan Pineda won in No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-3) for Gainesville. Max Wuest/Caleb Anderson were the No. 1 doubles winners (7-6, 6-2). Michael Head/Joseph Diaz clinched the win, defeating their opponents in No. 2 doubles in a 10-8 win in the third set tie break. For North Hall (7-9 overall), Masa Kobayashi won in No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-1). Also picking a win for the Trojans was Kody Dills in No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-4). 

Gainesville plays at 1 p.m. today in the first round of the Region 8-6A tournament at Longwood Park in Gainesville. The Trojans enter the region tournament as the No. 3 seed.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 5, GAINESVILLE 0: Anna Montgomery picked up a No. 1 singles win (6-2, 6-4). Also winning in singles for the Lady Trojans was Christen Barnes in No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-0) and Sydney Patterson in No. 3 singles (6-0, 6-0). The duo of Lauren Davis/Baylee Turner won in No, 1 doubles — 6-3, 6-4, 10-5 — and Ella Oxley/Raquel Kallab won in No. 2 doubles (6-1, 6-0). North Hall finishes the regular season with a 12-3 mark and begins region tournament play today.
