High school basketball scoreboard: Thrailkill paces Lakeview Academy girls in region win

Lakeview Academy’s Sadie Thrailkill scored 18 points in a 59-34 win against Hebron Christian on Tuesday in Gainesville. The Lady Lions (7-6, 3-0 Region 8-A) led at halftime 29-14. Savanna Kinsey totaled 11 points for Lakeview Academy, while Maddie Towles finished with 10.

Lakeview Academy visits Tallulah Falls at 6 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 80, HEBRON CHRISTIAN 54: Blake McIntyre recorded 25 points and eight assists as the Lions picked up a win in Region 8-A play Tuesday in Gainesville.

Adam Cottrell tallied 15 points and five assists for Lakeview Academy (6-5, 3-0 region), which travels to Tallulah Falls at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Lions forward Evan Pitts also had 10 points. 

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 80, SOCIAL CIRCLE 34: Jaycie Bowen racked up 20 points with 10 rebounds for Banks County. Maddie Thomas had 15 points and dished out five assists for the Lady Leopards (11-3, 2-0 Region 8-2A), while teammate Allison Smith finished the night with 12 points and five assists.

Banks County plays Elbert County at 7 p.m. Friday in Elberton.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 81, SOCIAL CIRCLE 63: Carl Cleveland scored 23 points, grabbed five rebounds and had two assists for Banks County. Dylan Orr posted a double-double for the Leopards (13-1, 2-0 Region 8-2A) with 23 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks. 

Darius Bonds also had a double-double for Banks County, scoring 12 points with 12 assists, while teammate Gabe Martin finished the night with 12 points, four rebounds, three steals and three assists.

Banks County plays Elbert County at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Elberton.

LOVEJOY GIRLS 55, BUFORD 49: Audrey Weiner scored a team-high 17 points as the Lady Wolves lost in the Big South Shootout at Duluth High.

Buford (9-2) hosts Clarke Central at 6 p.m. today at the Buford City Arena.
