High school baseball scoreboard: Erickson homers as North Hall defeats Dawson County, 10-1, in region series

NORTH HALL 10, DAWSON COUNTY 1: Charlie Erickson connected for a three-run homer, while Tyler Brooks was 3 for 5 with a double and five RBI for North Hall in the Region 7-3A series win. Also for the Trojans (20-5, 15-2 Region 7-3A), Caleb Clark (1 for 5) drove in a run.

North Hall hosts Dawson County for the regular-season finale at 5:55 p.m. on Friday in Gainesville.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 18, ATLANTA ACADEMY 3: Will Edwards went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs for the Lions (10-15). Also for Lakeview Academy, Evan Gravitt was 2 for 2 with three RBI and three runs scored, while teammate Bodie Blackwell went 2 for 2 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. JD Roark also drove in a pair of runs for Lakeview Academy, which hosts Towns County at 3:30 p.m. on Friday in Gainesville.

BUFORD 8, WALNUT GROVE 0: Patrick Walker was 3 for 4 with four RBI and a double for the Wolves (19-10, 9-2 Region 8-5A). Also for Buford, Garrison Price went 2 for 4 with three RBI for the Wolves. Sean Adams recorded 10 strikeouts over four innings from the mound for Buford.

Buford hosts Walnut Grove at 5:55 p.m. on Friday in Buford.

JEFFERSON 11, MADISON COUNTY 1: The Dragons won the Region 8-4A championship Wednesday’s night in Danielsville. Clayton Jones drove in three runs for the Dragons (18-8, 11-3 Region 8-4A). Also for Jefferson, Justin Cole, Mason Cooper and Kade McNally each contributed an RBI.

Jefferson hosts Madison County on Friday in Jefferson.
