High school baseball: Lakeview claims pair of victories in split doubleheader

The Lakeview Academy baseball team took home a pair of victories Tuesday night, taking down White County 6-3 in the first game of a doubleheader and defeating East Hall 10-3 in the nightcap. 

Ian Echols picked up the win in the first game, striking out three over six innings while allowing three runs. Skyler Thellman earned the save with a scoreless seventh inning. He also led the team offensively, driving in two runs with a fourth-inning double. Parker Allen and Jordan Thomas also each had two RBIs.

In the second game, Holden Cooper claimed the win, pitching 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief work and striking out five. Andrew Estes put together a four-hit game against East Hall, driving in a pair of runs and scoring twice himself.  

The Lions (4-1) will play again Saturday in a split doubleheader at White County against Cherokee Bluff at 1 p.m. and White County at 4 p.m.
