Gwinnett Braves fall 8-4 to Charlotte

Fueled by a four-run fifth inning, the Charlotte Knights rode to an 8-4 win over the Gwinnett Braves on Saturday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

G-Braves starter Jose Ortegano allowed six runs on 10 hits and two walks, leaving after the fifth inning. In his second rehab game since landing on the disabled list June 10, Atlanta Braves center fielder was 1-for-4 with a run scored.

The G-Braves play Charlotte at 2:05 p.m. today in their last game before the Triple-A All-Star break.
