Georgia Tech first-year coach Brian Gregory has signed forward Robert Carter from Shiloh High in Snellville.

At 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds, Carter adds important size to the 2012 class.

Carter will play his senior season at Shiloh after averaging 20.3 points, 14 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game at Thomasville High last year.

Carter joins guard Chris Bolden of North Gwinnett and forward Marcus Hunt of North Clayton as Georgia Tech signees in the early signing period, which ends Wednesday.
