Georgia Tech quarterback and Flowery Branch High graduate Jaybo Shaw was named Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Shaw, a freshman, was 9-for-13 passing with 230 passing yards and one touchdown in the Yellow Jackets’ 27-0 win against Duke on Saturday. He also had one rushing touchdown.

Shaw played quarterback at Flowery Branch from 2004-2008 and led the Falcons to three playoff appearances.
