ATLANTA — Georgia Tech senior Jason Morris broke his right foot in Wednesday night's loss to North Carolina and could miss the remainder of the season.
Georgia Tech coach Brian Gregory said Friday Morris will have surgery on Monday. Georgia Tech says his chances of returning this season are doubtful.
Gregory says the injury to Morris is "very unfortunate, almost beyond description."
Morris missed the season's first 10 games following surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot. He missed two more games in January with a concussion he suffered in a car accident. He is averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds.
Georgia Tech is awaiting an update on forward Robert Carter Jr.'s recovery from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
