ATLANTA — Former Florida State point guard Pierre Jordan has enrolled as a graduate student at Georgia Tech and will be eligible to play in the 2011-12 season.

Jordan, from Dunwoody High School, averaged 5.2 minutes per game in his career at Florida State. He scored 9 points in 16 games last season.

Jordan graduated from Florida State with a bachelor's degree this summer and is enrolled in building construction and facility management at Georgia Tech.

New Georgia Tech coach Brian Gregory says Jordan's "experience and maturity" will help the team.

Jordan (6-0, 170) never started a game at Florida State. He helped lead Dunwoody High School to two state championships.
