GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two players from North Carolina State and Georgia Tech were among the six honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The ACC on Monday named quarterback Russell Wilson as its offensive back of the week while Wolfpack teammate Mustafa Greene was its top rookie.

Defensive end Izaan Cross, a Flowery Branch high graduate, and kicker Scott Blair represented the Yellow Jackets.

Cross, who was instrumental in stopping North Carolina's potential game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, had five tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a pass break-up against the Tar Heels. Cross' sack of Yates on fourth down late in the fourth quarter was a key play for the Tech defense that blanked UNC in the final quarter.

Also honored were Florida State guard Rodney Hudson and Virginia Tech cornerback Rashad Carmichael.

Wilson threw for 333 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-19 victory over Cincinnati. Greene had 138 total yards in that game.
