2 Lady Yellow Jackets receive honors

Georgia Tech senior Alex Montgomery and freshman Tyaunna Marshall were honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday.

Montgomery was named Player of the Week after averaging a team-best 20.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in the Lady Yellow Jackets’ wins over Northwestern, Middle Tennessee State and Georgia last week.

Marshall averaged 12.3 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game in the three wins, en route to being named the conference’s Rookie of the Week.

Georgia Tech (7-4) will visit Portland State at 7 p.m. Dec. 21.
