University of Georgia safety Jakar Hamilton, who is out for the season with an ankle injury suffered in the preseason, has left the team for personal reasons, according to an announcement by Bulldog coach Mark Richt.

Hamilton, who would have been a senior this season without the injury, played in 13 games in 2010 including five starts.  He recorded 27 tackles and one interception.
