Chestatee graduate Alex McRee picked up the win in Georgia’s 5-3 victory over Mississippi State on Sunday in Starkville, Miss.

As part of a bullpen effort that finished with more than seven scoreless innings, McRee stifled Mississippi State for two innings after entering with the score tied at three in the eighth inning.

Georgia’s Gordon Beckham put the Bulldogs ahead to stay with a home run in the top of the 10th inning.
