ATHENS — Georgia quarterback Zach Mettenberger is facing a one-game suspension as punishment for his arrest on alcohol charges this month.
Coach Mark Richt says Mettenberger likely will serve a one-game suspension. Richt says the punishment could change if more details arise.
Mettenberger, a candidate for Georgia's starting job, is participating with the Bulldogs in spring practice.
The 18-year-old Mettenberger was arrested in Lowndes County earlier this month and charged with underage consumption and possession of alcohol, possessing fake identification and disorderly conduct-obstruction.
