ATHENS — Two Georgia backups — DeMario Mayfield and Drazen Zlovaric — plan to transfer after they requested and were granted releases from their scholarships.
Mayfield, a freshman guard from Carnesville, averaged 0.9 points in 18 games this season. Zlovaric, a 6-foot-9 sophomore from Serbia, also averaged 0.9 points in 26 games.
Georgia coach Mark Fox says “both outstanding young men.”
