Moreno named SEC Player of the Week

Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.

Moreno, 5-11, 208-pound redshirt sophomore recorded a season-high 168 rushing yards on 18 carries for three touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 56-17 win against Central Michigan on Saturday in Athens. The performance was Moreno’s seventh 100-yard rushing game of his career. Moreno also earned 30 receiving yards on three catches.

Georgia visits SEC rival South Carolina 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will air on CBS (WGCL-46.)
