Top-ranked Georgia yielded its lead in the sixth inning and never recovered as No. 5 LSU took a 7-5 win Sunday in Athens.

The Bulldogs took a 5-4 lead in the fifth inning on a three-run Matt Cerione home run, but the Tigers answered in the sixth when Mikie Mahtook hit a two-run blast.

Georgia plays host to Winthrop in a two-game series Tuesday and Wednesday at Foley Field.
