Lady Bulldogs to open WCWS against Washington

The sixth-seeded Georgia Bulldogs will play against the third-seeded Washington Huskies at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the 2010 Women’s College World Series on Thursday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

Georgia (48-11) will be making its second trip to the WCWS having making its first appearance last season, when the Bulldogs were one of the final four teams.

All eight teams in the WCWS will get under way Thursday, led off by ninth-seeded Missouri (51-11) and 16th-seeded Hawaii (49-14) at 1 p.m., followed by fourth-seeded Florida (48-8) and fifth-seeded UCLA (45-11) at 3:30 p.m. The second session begins at 7 p.m. with 10th-seeded Arizona (48-11) and 15th-seeded Tennessee (47-13). Georgia and defending national champion Washington (50-7) will then cap the first day of play.
