Georgia will be without three WRs for Tennessee game

ATHENS — Georgia receivers Malcolm Mitchell, Justin Scott-Wesley and Jonathon Rumph will not play Saturday against Tennessee.

Coach Mark Richt made the announcement Tuesday. None of them has played this season.

Expected to be one of No. 12 Georgia's top receivers, Mitchell sustained another knee injury just before the start of preseason practice. His recovery has not been as quick as the team hoped, though he is going through limited drills.

Rumph remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Scott-Wesley is a different case. While coming off a season-ending knee injury from 2013, he appears to be serving a four-game suspension for a marijuana arrest last October. Richt refuses to discuss the specifics of Scott-Wesley's case, but does say he hopes all three receivers will return for an Oct. 4 game against Vanderbilt.
