The Gainesville vs. Flowery Branch game is back on the schedule -- just a week later than originally planned.

On Friday, both schools signed the contract to play on Sept. 10 at City Park Stadium.

The game was scratched Wednesday from the schedule, due to positive coronavirus tests in the Flowery Branch football program.

Gainesville coach Heath Webb spent the following 24 hours trying to find a new opponent for Friday, but with no success.

The Falcons will return to practice on Tuesday, according to their coach Ben Hall.
