The Gainesville Gladiators opened its 2009 season with two wins against the Atlanta Villians and the Georgia Patriots.

In the Gladiators’ win against Georgia Patriots last Saturday, quarterback Anthony Hamlett rushed for 155 yards. Mo Issak, Chad Kubiak and Carl Huff each scored touchdowns for Gainesville.

The Gladiators also won 34-14 against the Atlanta Villians on June 13. Hamlett threw for three touchdowns and rushed for one.

The Gladiators visit the Henry County Horsemen next week at Strong Rock Christian School.
