Spring Swing Tennis Tournament gets underway this week at Longwood Park

The 2017 Spring Swing Tennis Tournament got underway Tuesday night at Longwood Park in Gainesville.

Trey Martin, Matt Mitchell and Thanh Nguyen won in men’s open singles, while the team of Martin Carrion/Tony Poole won in men’s open doubles. Singles winners in the A group were Ramird Vazadez and Chris Geradi, while Steven Orr/Chris Geradi won the doubles competition in the A group.

Josh Serrano, Kevin Causey and Bill Henry were the B group singles winners. Bob Wheatley/Keith Walton, Russ Ross/Bill Henry, Ryan Sawyer/Holder Sawyer and Bill Powell/Tom Lawson won in B group doubles.

In the men’s C group, Antonio Pineada, Ismael Olguin, Jordan Mechwart and Grayson Roeming were the singles winners. In the co-ed group A doubles, the team of Keith Causey/Lizz Causey won their match, while Mary Bell/J.J Davis won in the B group co-ed doubles.

Woody Courtney/Corinne Courtney, Jeremy Cearbough/Chrissy Robertson and Diego Valentin/Miguel Valentin won in the parents/child doubles C group. Andrea Peck and Corinne Courtney won in the women’s single C group.

The event will continue through Sunday.
