Stuart Moore fired a 2-under 70 to grab the outright first-round lead at the City Championship Friday afternoon at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville. Moore, the Gainesville High graduate and former Auburn University golfer, has a two-stroke lead heading into today’s second round, set to begin at 11:30 a.m. Moore will play in today’s final group of the championship flight, set to tee off at 12:50 p.m., with Nathan Williams and Ricky Brown. Williams and Brown shot 72 and 73, respectively, in Friday’s opening round.
